Hubonauts are an integral part of the Impact Hub Geneva team and play a decisive role in the smooth running of the Impact Hub. By becoming a Hubonaut, you'll become a host to the Hub's various spaces and the friendly glue that binds the community together. The role of a Hubonaute is to make visitors and users feel at home.

Your mission: to welcome visitors, help them and make sure that the spaces are presentable and welcoming. The aim: to create an open, collaborative atmosphere where people feel encouraged to connect and enjoy spending time. To achieve this, here's a non-exhaustive list of the tasks you'll have to carry out during your Evening Shift (from 1pm to 7pm):

  • Shift handover and support (kitchen area)

  • Monitor Slack messages (last updates, day shift, channels)
  • Assess coffee needs to avoid waste & restock drinks
  • Review the daily focus task/duties checklist (inventory)
  • On #Friday: Fridge cleaning day (remove spoiled food/drinks)
  • Set up and arrange potential apéros (events booking)
  • Anticipate and prepare for closing & end of day
  • [Week 1 & 3] Descale the coffee machine and kettle
  • Go around the hub on both floors to make sure tables & chairs are clean, stored & tidy
  • Empty the garbage & compost bags into dumpster outside
  • Clean up kitchen/bar area, load and switch on dishwasher
  • Close ALL doors and windows (switch off lights & lamps)
  • Notify members, guests & staff, say goodbye and call it a day!
